Will TruePianos work on a low-end computer ?
There is a good chance that TruePianos will work fine on a slow computer as long as it's running at least Windows 7 or macOS 10.9. We still include support for 32-bit Intel CPUs in our installers. The best way to find out how TruePianos performs on your computer is to try the 40 day test version.
Can I activate TruePianos without internet access ?
TruePianos starting from the version 1.5.0 is serial code based, so the activation works without internet access.
Does TruePianos support Apple Silicon computers natively ?
Yes, it does.
Can I sell my TruePianos license to another person ?
Yes, just change the name and e-mail address to the new owner in your customer section.
Can I use TruePianos on multiple computers ?
You can choose between two options:
- As an individual user, you can install on as many computers as you need, as long as you are the only user. You may not install on your friend's computers.
- Alternatively, you can install on a single computer and let several people use it.
How frequently is TruePianos updated and improved ?
On a regular basis. We constantly work to add more content and improve the engine. You are entitled for free updates for at least one year from the data of purchase.
Which 'real' pianos are included in TruePianos ?
We use the original sampled material creatively, pipe it through algorithms and combine it to create the best experience. All current and future piano modules are named to avoid association with any particular piano brand, because they may contain samples from several different pianos.
What is the polyphony of TruePianos ?
That highly depends on the module used. If you feel you strike the limit, you can turn on the 'Increased Polyphony' flag on the option screen. Beware, this will also raise the CPU usage. Consult the manual.
What technology does TruePianos use to produce it's piano sound ?
We combine different technologies at different places, following the 'common sense' rule. Things, that generally work better with sampling - we use samples for, and for the features, where samples make the product less versatile - we use other techniques. We are going to proceed with the same philosophy in the future as well. What-is-what may change inbetween the versions to maintain the best quality and experience of the product.
I'd really like TruePianos to support feature X, can you add it ?
We would be glad to hear what you like to see in TruePianos.
Do you offer a boxed version of TruePianos?
Currently we provide TruePianos via electronic delivery only, but we are considering this for the future.
I see both 'TruePianos' and 'TruePiano' as names for the product on the website. Which is the correct product name ?
There is no correct name. Call it the way it feels right, we internally call it TruePianos mostly, but not always. During the initial development period betatesters often wrote the product name in alternative ways. Some of the variations to the original name which were used were: 'TruePiano', 'True Piano', 'True Pianos' and 'True'. We thought that enforcement of some particular name wouldn't make much sense, therefore you can reach our web site at:

I've bought TruePianos over a year ago, how can I get access to new updates ?
Currently we're not yet enforcing the 1 year of free updates period yet, so essentially all customers are eligible for all updates.
Are there educational discounts for students and teachers ?
Please contact us through a support form. We decide personal discounts on individual basis. (not available currently while Truepianos is 50% discounted)
Can press members get a free TruePianos license to write a review ?
If you are a member of the press, contact us for an NFR license.
The sound is thin or phasey. What have I done wrong?
Please check your MIDI routing, that you're not receiving MIDI into the TruePianos plugin twice, and that you are playing in a full stereo. To further enhance the experience from TruePianos you may consider using a Limiter plugin to boost the volume of the playback.
